Privacy Policy

We are three friends making a game, not a data company. We keep what the website needs to work and nothing else. This page lists all of it.

Who we are

voxium.dev and Lands of Eurosia are made by Voxium, a small independent team led from Denmark. We are the data controller for everything on this page. Contact for anything here: [email protected].

The laws we follow

Our team lives in different countries and our players come from everywhere, so we hold ourselves to the strictest rules that apply and give everyone the same protection:

  • The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act. These apply to all our players, wherever they live.
  • The UK GDPR for players in the United Kingdom.
  • US children's privacy law (COPPA) and US state privacy laws. We never ask for personal details, and we never use data for advertising or sell it.
  • The Roblox, Discord and Patreon rules for anything that passes through them.

Our legal basis under the GDPR: running the website and game you asked to use (your account, sign-ins, profile), our legitimate interest in fair play and safety (game data, staff records), and your consent for the optional extras (linking Discord or Patreon). You can withdraw consent at any time by unlinking.

Your website account

You make an account by signing in with Roblox or Discord. Signing in is optional. You can read every public page without it.

Roblox sign-inYour Roblox user ID, username, display name and the link to your avatar picture. Roblox handles the sign-in on its own page and never gives us your password.
Discord sign-in or linkYour Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar link. If you link Discord, we also check whether you are in the Voxium Discord server, whether you boost it, since when, and which of our server roles you have. We use that for your badges and so our Discord bot can give you the right server roles and nickname. Unlinking or deleting your account removes the roles the bot gave you.
Discord botWhen you use a bot command, Discord sends us your user ID, name, server roles and what you typed, only to answer you. We keep nothing from it except this: if you open a ticket, we note which private channel is yours until it is closed. The messages in a ticket stay on Discord, not with us.
Patreon linkYour Patreon user ID and name, whether you actively support Voxium, your tier name and since when. We never see your payment details.
Your settingsYour privacy choices for your profile and, if you deleted your account, a note that the game must not send your data again.
Sorveth trainerYour daily trainer progress: streak, which words you know and your scores.
Sign-in sessionsA random code that keeps you signed in. We only store a scrambled (hashed) copy, so even we cannot use it. It ends after 30 days or when you sign out.

What we never collect: email address, password, real name, birthday, phone number, home address, payment details, your friends list or your messages. We do not track you around the internet and there are no adverts.

Your game data

To show profiles, leaderboards, factions and the world map, the game sends a copy of some character data to the website about every five minutes while you play. This happens for every player, with or without a website account, because the leaderboards need it. It covers:

  • your Roblox user ID, username and display name, so names show correctly
  • each character's name, race, body type, level, prestige, title, class and path
  • your faction and faith, with rank and division
  • season and lifetime counters such as enemies defeated, PvP kills and deaths, duels, bosses, time played, items crafted and places discovered
  • achievements, pets (species, names, level and bond), number of horses, gold and current bounty
  • whether you are online, which server you are on and, while online, the named place you are standing in

At the end of a season we keep an archive copy of each character's season results for the Hall of Seasons. If you do not want any of this on the website, sign in and delete your account in your settings. That removes your game data from the site and tells the game to stop sending it. You can come back any time by signing in again and turning sync back on.

What others can see

Your profile is public by default so friends can find you, but you choose what it shows. The default is:

ShownYour profile, place on the leaderboards, badges, level, faction, faith, achievements and pets.
HiddenDetailed statistics, when you were last seen, your gold and your class.

Change any of these at any time in your account settings. Hidden things are hidden everywhere on the site, including search and faction member lists.

Staff records

To keep the game fair, our staff keep records inside the game: warnings, notes, kicks, mutes, bans, reports and a log of every staff command, with who did it and why. Staff can view and act on these from the website too. Every website action is logged with the staff member's name. Staff records are only ever shown to staff, never on public pages.

Cookies and your browser

We use two cookies, both needed for signing in, and nothing for tracking or adverts:

__Host-vx_loginLives for 10 minutes while you sign in, to check the sign-in came from you.
__Host-vx_sessionKeeps you signed in for up to 30 days.

Your browser also remembers a few small things on your own device: light or dark mode, your display name and whether to show the Staff link, so pages load without flicker. This never leaves your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Who else handles data

We never sell or give away your data. Fonts and images are served by us, so your browser does not contact Google or any other outside service while you browse. The one exception is the pictures inside a writer's archive in the Lore Library: they are stored on Google, so they stay hidden until you click to show them. These are the only others that handle data so the site can run:

CloudflareHosts the website and its database. Like any web host, it sees your IP address when you visit, to deliver the page and stop attacks. We do not store IP addresses ourselves.
Roblox, Discord and PatreonOnly when you choose to sign in or link with them. Their own privacy policies apply on their pages.

How long we keep it

  • Your account, links and settings: until you delete your account.
  • Sign-in sessions: 30 days at most.
  • Game data: as long as you play. Characters that are reset or archived keep only their season results.
  • Staff records: as long as needed to keep the game fair, for example while a ban is active.
  • Emails to us: deleted once the matter is settled. Our mailbox is hosted in the EU.

Your rights

You can see what we hold, have it corrected, have it deleted, and move it elsewhere. Most of this you can do yourself:

  • Delete everything: on your account page, open Settings and delete your account. This removes your account, links, sign-ins, trainer progress, characters and past seasons from the website straight away. Your save inside the game is not touched.
  • Unlink one service: on your account page, under Linked accounts.
  • Hide things: on your account page, under Settings.
  • Anything else, such as a copy of your data or a question about staff records: email [email protected] with your Roblox username. We answer within 30 days, usually much sooner.

You can also stop Voxium seeing your Roblox account under Roblox Settings, Security, Third-Party App Authorisations. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) or the authority where you live.

Younger players

Many Roblox players are young. We designed the site so it never asks for personal details, and everything public is game information you choose to show. If you are under 13, ask a parent or guardian before linking Discord or Patreon. Parents can email us to have a child's data removed.

Changes

If we start storing anything new, we will add it here before we do and change the date at the top.
